Our technology and location partners

The Univeristy of Bolton
The Univeristy and town are in the process of being covered by TeleGeneration hotspots allowing everyone high speed wireless access to the Internet.

University of Central Lancashire

UCLan were happy to partner with Telegeneration to expand the wireless access to our students and staff beyond the campus across the city. The partnership between UCLan, Preston City Council and Telegeneration was unique and enabled the City and its residents to benefit from our respective experience of delivering affordable and reliable technical solutions.

Preston City Council
TeleGeneration has been working with Preston City Council to provide wireless internet access for local people as part of the award winning e-innovations initiative. This scheme aims to bring local services closer to the community using new technology.
The project saw Preston become Britain’s first wireless city in August 2004. There are now over 100 wireless hotspots located across the city in cafes, restaurants, council buildings, the University of Central Lancashire and other community venues.
A key part of the project has been to provide free access to wi-fi hotspots for people who use community groups such as Preston Women’s forum and Preston DISC (Disability Information Service Centre), as well as students from the University of Central Lancashire.
TeleGeneration and Preston City Council have also worked together to provide wireless internet access for local councillors.
