Connecting PSP
TeleGeneration provides a WiFi service for both laptop and PDA users but if you own a Sony PSP (and have a TeleGeneration account) you can also use it to connect to our hotspots and browse the web.
The following steps will show you how to get your PSP to use TeleGeneration’s service. Please note that we do not provide support for problems related to access with a PSP and that information is provided as-is. Due to stability issues on the PSP itself, we recommend to use the Internet functionalities with no game loaded or in the tray.
Step 1:
Take your PSP to one of the venues where TeleGeneration’s service is live. You can find a detailed listing on the following page: https://www.telegeneration.com/venue/venues.php
Step 2:
Turn on your PSP, leave your game or application, get to the start-screen and go to Settings/Network Settings.
Step 3:
On the next screen, choose Infrastructure Mode and setup a New Connection, name it TeleGeneration and press right to continue.
Step 4:
On the WLAN Settings screen, select Scan and press right to continue. After a few seconds you will be shown all the available WiFi networks from where you are. You should see here TeleGeneration’s service with SSID TeleGeneration and Security None. The Signal Strength depends on how far away you are sitting from our Access Point but should not be lower than 50%. Select TeleGeneration and press X to continue.
Step 5:
On the next screen, you should see SSID TeleGeneration. Do not change anything and simply press right on your control pad to continue. On the WLAN Security Settings, select None and press Right on the control pad to continue. On the Address Settings screen, simply choose Easy and press Right again to continue.
Step 6: The Setting List screen will sum up what we have configured so far. You should have there TeleGeneration as Connection Name and SSID. None as Security. IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Router, Primary and Secondary DNS set as Automatic. Proxy Server set as Do Not Use and Internet Browser as Do Not Start. If everything is alright, just press Right on the control pad to continue or Left to get back to the settings input if you notice something wrong.
